The Mother talking drum and leader of the dundun drum family, with a deep and full tonal range. This is actually the original and more traditional Yoruba talking drum, even though the smaller underarm sizes have become more popular. Available in 3 sizes.
"Iya" is mother and "Ilu" is drum in Yoruba language.
In addition to the drum, are the two sets of saworo (row of bells) attached to igbaju (wide leather straps) that are then tied to the front and back of drum when playing for dignitaries/special ocassions.
